Vinayaka Mission's Homoeopathic Medical College,Salem, is a Private College established in the year 1995. The college is affiliated to Vinayaka Mission’s University, Salem, located in Tamil Nadu with an annual intake of 100 seats.

The college took its initiative in the Undergraduate education and wholistic patient care under the Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai but soon set up its foundation as a Deemed institution under the Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem (declared under Sec.3 of the UGC Act,1956) in the year 2001 and befitted as the first college in South India to provide Post graduate programme in all the 7 specialities of Homoeopathy and an undergraduate approval of 100 students per academic year in the year 2002. The college is the research centre for Doctorate in Homoeopathy (Ph.D.) from the year 2011.

Vinayaka Mission's Homoeopathic Medical College, Accredited by NAAC is a centre of learning for students, patient care and clinical research in Homoeopathy. The hospital provides disciplined academic education and scientific research in Homoeopathy and caters to the health of the society providing Out- Patient and In- Patient care, along with the City Health centre and Peripheral Health Centres. It also opens up its venues for Basic Life Support programme, Personality Development Programme, Organ Donation & transplantation Program & Health Awareness Programmes.

The Hospital has outpatient units like Medical Unit Surgery Unit, OBG Unit, Pediatric Unit, Psychiatry Unit and General Emergency Unit. The components of care plan are initial assessment with history, vitals, relevant diagnostic investigations, initial treatment and periodic reassessment.

Admission into BAMS, BHMS, BUMS & BNYS Courses in all the Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani and Naturopathy Medical Colleges affiliated to VINAYAKA MISSION'S UNIVERSITY for the academic year under Competent Authority Quota seats i.e., the seats in Government Ayurveda, Homoeopathy & Unani Colleges and Competent Authority Seats in Private Un-aided Non-Minority Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy Medical Colleges under VINAYAKA MISSION'S UNIVERSITY, Salem.

The admission for Homeopathic colleges in Private colleges is divided into two categories :

• Government Seats and
• Private seats

Government Seat: The seats available in BSMS / BAMS / BUMS / BHMS courses in Government Medical Colleges.

Private seat: Allotments of seats to BSMS / BAMS / BHMS courses in Self Financing Medical Colleges will be based on the merit.

Reservation Policies for Government Seats:

Note: 1. In respect of BUMS course any unfilled BC seats will be filled only by BC Muslims and any MBC/DNC, SC/SCA/ST vacant seat will be filled by throwing open to Open Competition if no BC, MBC/DC, SC, SC (Arunthathiyars), ST candidates are available.

2. Reservation as applicable at the time of Counseling will be followed.

Course Duration:

4 1/2 years + 1 Year compulsory rotatory residential internship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: -

1. Candidate should be a citizen of India.
2. Applicants must have passed class 10+2 or HSE or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as mandatory subjects.
3. Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in Biology or Botony & Zoology,Physics & Chemistry.
4. The Minimum age of the applicant at the time of admission should be 17 years.
5. Applicant must be NEET qualified.

NATIVITY:-

i. Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu.

ii. Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu studied from VI to XII Std. either partly or completely in schools situated outside Tamil Nadu should produce the “Nativity Certificate”.

iii. The Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu should be issued by the competent authority only in the specified format available (ANNEXURE IV) in the prospectus and supported by a copy of Passport / Aadhar Card / Ration Card / Birth Certificate. If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application form will be rejected. Nativity Certificate submitted later will be summarily rejected.

iv. Applications without a proper Nativity Certificate will not be considered.

v. Permanent Residence Certificate will not be accepted.

vi. Foreign Nationals though they might have studied from 6th standard onwards or in a college in Tamil Nadu , they are NOT eligible to apply for admission to B.S.M.S. /B.A.M.S./ B.U.M.S./ B.H.M.S courses 2021-22 session.

vii. Other State candidates who have studied from VI Standard to XII Standard continuously in Tamil Nadu, will be deemed to be native of Tamil Nadu and will be considered under the Open Category.

viii. Community Certificate obtained from other States will not be considered for reservation and such candidates will be treated as open category.

Qualifying Percentile and Cut-off Score:

The documents enclosed with the application will NOT be returned. Candidates are required to enclose One set of Self - attested Photo copies of the following certificates along with the application.

1. NEETUG - 2021 Score Card.
2. NEETUG - 2021 Admission Card.
3. Mark sheets of H.S.C. (Academic) examination (Both Eleventh & Twelfth Standard)(both side of mark sheet should be Photo copied) or any other equivalent examination of the first appearance.
4. Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C.(Academic) or equivalent courses.
5. Nativity certificate (wherever necessary)
6. Permanent Community Certificate Card/ Certificate issued online.
7. Annual Income Certificate if it is applicable.
8. First Graduate Certificate if it is applicable.
9. Bonafide Certificate as per Annexure XI for 7.5% reservation(if applicable).
10. Bonafide Certificate for proof of studying VI – XII in Tamil Nadu.
