Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Solan, is a Private College established in the year 2002. The College is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, located in Himachal Pradesh with an annual intake of 100 seats. The Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is recognised by Central Council of Homoeopathy under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi. The college is approved by the Himachal Pradesh Government.

Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital came into existence at Solan, in the year 2002 with the objective of providing comprehensive health care, medical education and thus attaining wellness of the people of Himachal Pradesh and adjoining states.

Students from across the length and breadth of India are on our rolls, including Mizoram, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, UP, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, J&K and Himachal Pradesh.

The college adopts zero tolerance to ragging as per directions from Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Ragging is criminal offence and lowers the standards of education. The ‘anti ragging policy’ adopted by institution takes care of preventive, procedural and punitive aspects of ragging based on the guidelines provided by Hon’ble Supreme court of India, recommendations of the Raghvan Committee, instructions/guidelines issued by the UGC, ministry of HRD (Govt. of India) and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh.

Counseling for 'State quota' as well as 'All India quota' seats is being conducted by H. P. University, Shimla(https://hpuniv.ac.in/) for academic session 2020-21.

All aspirants desirous of admission to BHMS for the session 2021-22 are required to prepare for upcoming NEET (UG) 2021 examination and qualify the same to be eligible for admission.

Eligibility For Admission To B.H.M.S-1st Prof.:

The candidate should have passed 10+2 securing 50% or more marks in case of Unreserved Category & 40% or more marks in case of SC/ST/OBC Category candidates from H.P. Board of School Education or from a recognized Board or equivalent degree/examination passed with Science [Medical group with Biology, Physics, Chemistry & English] of the University/H. P. Board of School Education in Science subjects.

NEET UG of current session qualified candidates.

Should have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first Prof. of the course.

Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be allowed for admission to the course.

SANCTIONED ANNUAL INTAKE: 75 (Seventy Five)

Distribution Of Seats:

State Quota (85% )-64 seats & Central Quota (15%)- 11 Seats

The seats remain vacant after counselling in State Quota will be filled up from Central/All India Quota seats and vice-versa.

Duration Of The Course:

The duration of B.H.M.S (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) course is Five and a half years including one year compulsory rotatory internship, as per Central Council of Homoeopathy regulations.

English is the medium of instruction & examination for B.H.M.S. course.
