Baroda Homoeopathic Medical College

The Baroda Homoeopathic Medical College, Vadodara , established in 1992, is a pioneering institute for training in the field of Homoeopathy in the 'SanskarNagri' Vadodara (Gujarat). The institute is managed by the 'Paradise Foundation Trust' and is recognized by both the Govt. of India and Govt. of Gujarat. The institute is approved by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, CCH(the apex body for education & training in Homoeopathy) and Dept. of Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy (AYUSH) of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy(ISM & H), Govt. of India. The college is affiliated to the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, Gujarat for its undergraduate and Post Graduate course. The college has an intake capacity of 100 undergraduate students (B.H.M.S.)and 9 students for its Post Graduate students (M.D. (Hom.) per year.

The Baroda Homoeopathic Medical College is located at village Sonarkui, Opp. to the Xaviers Technical Institute on the Sevasi Sindhrot road, Vadodara. The College has a picturesque location having the most beautifully landscaped garden and a huge building which is an architectural marvel in itself. Encompassing the total area of 14163 Sq. meters, the campus includes the college premises, Baroda homoeopathic Medical College Hospital and the Girls Hostel building. Having ample free space, pollution free atmosphere, the touch of purity of village along with the ultramodern amenities for education & training in Homoeopathy provides this college an edge which takes it far beyond the contemporaries.

A fully secured Girls hostel adjacent to the college and hospital building is the most outstanding features of this institute. With a total built up area of 28000 sq. ft. having 48 rooms providing residential facilities to 196 girl students of this institute. A state of the art building has ample security features where parents breathe easy when their beloved kin is away from home. With an in campus warden and 24 hrs security guards, this home away from home hostel has all facilities to make the stay comfortable and pleasant.

HOSPITAL

Baroda Homeopathic Medical College has its own 49 bedded full-fledged hospital (covering 65000 sq.ft. area) with all modern facilities for routine & emergency medical care. This well-equipped teaching hospital serves as a boon to the surrounding rural locality. Various consultants both from Homoeopathy and Modern Medicine make efforts to provide primary & secondary medical aid to needful patients. The Paradise Foundation Trust runs this hospital purely on charitable basis to allow its benefits to be extended to the very low income generating population. The hospital has a full-fledged Homoeopathic unit where Clinical Teaching & Practical Training in Homeopathy is given to clinical students by prominent consultants.

The allied medicine unit has every modern day facility. The Radiology department has ultramodern X-Ray and Ultra-Sonography Machine. The Pathology Department has Auto Analyzer, Centrifuge Machine, Cell Counter, Microscope, Urine Analyzer, and Computer facilities. The Dental Unit is equipped with a Fully Automatic Dental Chair and other modern facilities. There is a separate Ophthalmology unit to aid the poor patients for their ophthalmic problems. The Yoga and Naturopathic Department caters the need of patients who require nature's help for relief in their ailments. It has a well-equipped physiotherapy department too with modern machines like IFT,SWD,TENS,EMS etc.

The Hospital has its own major and minor operation theatre with an attached recovery room. The vast spacious labour room is an additional benefit for carrying out normal deliveries with ease.

The Hospital has its own ambulance and mobile van which visits the urban as well as peripheral areas in rural Vadodara to extend medical aids to the needy patients. Everyday this van visits different localities and nearby villages with a team of Medical Officers and Internee doctors to provide Homoeopathic medication at a very down to earth rate. In Gujarat Counseling for AYUSH is conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) .ACPUGMEC is limited to the conduct of centralized Counseling, which includes online registration, document verification, online/offline Counseling procedure, seat allotment and issue of admission order as per NEET UG of current academic year. Course Duration:

5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year)

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as mandatory subjects.
2. Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in Biology /Biotechnology, Physics & Chemistry.
3. The Minimum age of the applicant at the time of admission should be 17 years.
4. Applicant must be NEET qualified.
5. Applicants should be an Indian.

6. Migration certificate (T.C.) from the University or College last attended
7. In case of having a breach of study, an affidavit must be submitted by the candidate that during the gap period he/she was not involved – in any political activity, Criminal activity and no Criminal case is pending against him/her in any court of law.
8. Six passport sized colour photographs.
9. Two self-addressed and stamped (Rs.5/-) envelopes.
