National Institute of Siddha,Chennai,is a Government College established in the Year 2004-05. The College is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai,located in Tamil Nadu with an annual intake of 30 seats.
National Institute of Siddha is offering Post Graduate course in Siddha in eight specialties, Ph.D programme and rendering health care services through Siddha Medicine. The qualified faculty of Siddha Medicine and inter disciplinary faculty are available for imparting a high level of education and a well attended OPD / IPD with diagnostic laboratory facilities for enhancing the learning and acquiring knowledge and skills in clinical management. The students are deputed to reputed institutions for participating in training /seminar / workshop / conference on standardization of drugs, elemental analysis, preclinical studies, research methodology and biostatistics, career advancement training, general skills development etc for enhancing their knowledge and skills.

Admission into BAMS, BHMS, BUMS & BNYS Courses in all the Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani and Naturopathy Medical Colleges affiliated to Dr.M.G.R. Medical University,Chennai for the academic year under Competent Authority Quota seats i.e., the seats in Government Ayurveda, Homoeopathy & Unani Colleges and Competent Authority Seats in Private Un-aided Non-Minority Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy Medical Colleges under Dr.M.G.R. GOVERNMENT QUOTA SEATS IN SELF-FINANCING MEDICAL COLLEGES: Allotments of seats to BSMS / BAMS / BHMS courses in Self Financing Medical Colleges will be based on the merit and following the Rule of Reservation and subject to the availability. Apportionment of seats between Government and Management of Self Financing Colleges of Indian Systems of Medicine is as follows.

Note: 1. In respect of BUMS course any unfilled BC seats will be filled only by BC Muslims and any MBC/DNC, SC/SCA/ST vacant seat will be filled by throwing open to Open Competition if no BC, MBC/DC, SC, SC (Arunthathiyars), ST candidates are available.
2. Reservation as applicable at the time of Counseling will be followed.
4 1/2 years + 1 Year compulsory rotatory residential internship.
NATIVITY:-
i. Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu.
ii. Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu studied from VI to XII Std. either partly or completely in schools situated outside Tamil Nadu should produce the “Nativity Certificate”.
iii. The Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu should be issued by the competent authority only in the specified format available (ANNEXURE IV) in the prospectus and supported by a copy of Passport / Aadhar Card / Ration Card / Birth Certificate. If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application form will be rejected. Nativity Certificate submitted later will be summarily rejected.
iv. Applications without a proper Nativity Certificate will not be considered.
v. Permanent Residence Certificate will not be accepted.
vi. Foreign Nationals though they might have studied from 6th standard onwards or in a college in Tamil Nadu , they are NOT eligible to apply for admission to B.S.M.S. /B.A.M.S./ B.U.M.S./ B.H.M.S courses 2021-22 session.
vii. Other State candidates who have studied from VI Standard to XII Standard continuously in Tamil Nadu, will be deemed to be native of Tamil Nadu and will be considered under the Open Category.
viii. Community Certificate obtained from other States will not be considered for reservation and such candidates will be treated as open category.
