Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Institute of Homeopathic Medical Sciences

Pt J.N.M. Medical College Raipur came in to existence on 9th September 1963 when the college was started with 60 students in a small OPD block of Ayurvedic College. The college received recognition from Medical Council of India in 1969. MBBS seats were increased from 100 to 150 in the year 2009.

The College library has a rich collection of Homoeopathy books and allied medical subjects. The library has well-stocked journals, magazines, newspapers and periodicals. Facilities that are provided by the college are lecture theatres, seminar hall, sports, conference hall, canteen, well-established classrooms and medical.

Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Institute of Homeopathic Medical Sciences impart education through a 5 ½ year degree course in Homoeopathy that is Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). The duration of BHMS programme will be about 4 ½ years + one year compulsory internship. The total number of seats for BHMS is 100. The college also offers B.H.M.S. (Graded Degree) regular Courses as well as a graded course for external candidates.

About Hospital

The hospital has medical facilities in all specialties and in super specialties of cardiology, nephrology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery & pediatric surgery. A highly developed radiotherapy & cancer department is the largest medical care facilities for the cancer patients in the state.

Besides 20 OPD &30 general wards, hospital also has Medical ICU, Cardiac Care Unit, Post Operative Ward, well equipped Operation Theatres for routine and emergency surgeries, Critical Care Unit, Neonatal ICU, Labour Room, and Nephrology Unit with dialysis facilities. The hospital has state of the art equipments like latest 3 Tesla MRI, 128 Slice CT scan, Linear Accelerator, Cobalt Machine, Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) & Cath lab. A model blood bank insures adequate supply of tested blood & blood components to the patients of the hospital.

The Hospital also provides services under Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna (RSBY), Mukhya Mantri Swasthya Bima Yojna (MSBY), Sanjeevani Sahayata Kosh, Balshravan Yojna, Bal Hriday Suraksha Yojna (BHSY) and Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojna (JSSY).
