Akila Thiruvithamcore Siddha Vaidya Samgam Siddha Maruthuva Kalloory & Hospital, Kanyakumari, is a Private College established in the Year 1997. The College is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, located in Tamil Nadu with an annual intake of 40 seats.

FACILITIES

Hostel: Separate Hostels are available for boys and girls within the campus. Spacious rooms with good ventilation and attached bathrooms are provided. Play ground and sports facilities are available. Discipline of the students staying in the Hostel is given utmost importance. Safety and health of the students is properly taken care of Purified Drinking water by RO system is provided

Canteen: A Canteen functions in the College campus on contractual basis. Hygienic foods are prepared and provided to the Hostel students. Food, tea & snacks are also available for day scholar students, staff and outsiders who visit the college and Hospital.

Transport: The college can be reached by frequent buses available from Marthandam to Thegapattanam via Munchirai. In addition College owns a van which runs daily to and fro between Nagercoil and College through the Trivandrum national Highway route .The students and staff can avail this facility.

Library: The college has a central Library where a collection of 4313 Books are available. This includes a good collection of around 3052 Siddha Books of various authors including famous Siddhars..Rare collection of Palm Manuscripts (Olai Suvadigal) are also available in a ( 216 )good number.487 modern text books on different subjects are also present. 6 Medical Journals are subscribed. The library is kept open till 6 P.M in the evening for the convenience of the students to use the library after college timings. Separate Reading rooms are available for staff and students.

Admission into BAMS, BHMS, BUMS & BNYS Courses in all the Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani and Naturopathy Medical Colleges affiliated to Dr.M.G.R. Medical University,Chennai for the academic year under Competent Authority Quota seats i.e., the seats in Government Ayurveda, Homoeopathy & Unani Colleges and Competent Authority Seats in Private Un-aided Non-Minority Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy Medical Colleges under Dr.M.G.R. Medical University,Chennai.

The admission for Homeopathic colleges in Private colleges is divided into two categories :

• Government Seats and
• Private seats

Government Seat: The seats available in BSMS / BAMS / BUMS / BHMS courses in Government Medical Colleges.

Private seat: Allotments of seats to BSMS / BAMS / BHMS courses in Self Financing Medical Colleges will be based on the merit.

Reservation Policies for Government Seats:

Note: 1. In respect of BUMS course any unfilled BC seats will be filled only by BC Muslims and any MBC/DNC, SC/SCA/ST vacant seat will be filled by throwing open to Open Competition if no BC, MBC/DC, SC, SC (Arunthathiyars), ST candidates are available.

2. Reservation as applicable at the time of Counseling will be followed.

Course Duration:

4 1/2 years + 1 Year compulsory rotatory residential internship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: -

1. Candidate should be a citizen of India.
2. Applicants must have passed class 10+2 or HSE or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as mandatory subjects.
3. Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in Biology or Botony & Zoology,Physics & Chemistry.
4. The Minimum age of the applicant at the time of admission should be 17 years.
5. Applicant must be NEET qualified.

NATIVITY:-

i. Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu.

ii. Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu studied from VI to XII Std. either partly or completely in schools situated outside Tamil Nadu should produce the “Nativity Certificate”.

iii. The Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu should be issued by the competent authority only in the specified format available (ANNEXURE IV) in the prospectus and supported by a copy of Passport / Aadhar Card / Ration Card / Birth Certificate. If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application form will be rejected. Nativity Certificate submitted later will be summarily rejected.

iv. Applications without a proper Nativity Certificate will not be considered.

v. Permanent Residence Certificate will not be accepted.

vi. Foreign Nationals though they might have studied from 6th standard onwards or in a college in Tamil Nadu , they are NOT eligible to apply for admission to B.S.M.S. /B.A.M.S./ B.U.M.S./ B.H.M.S courses 2021-22 session.

vii. Other State candidates who have studied from VI Standard to XII Standard continuously in Tamil Nadu, will be deemed to be native of Tamil Nadu and will be considered under the Open Category.

viii. Community Certificate obtained from other States will not be considered for reservation and such candidates will be treated as open category.

Qualifying Percentile and Cut-off Score:

The documents enclosed with the application will NOT be returned. Candidates are required to enclose One set of Self - attested Photo copies of the following certificates along with the application.

1. NEETUG - 2021 Score Card.
2. NEETUG - 2021 Admission Card.
3. Mark sheets of H.S.C. (Academic) examination (Both Eleventh & Twelfth Standard)(both side of mark sheet should be Photo copied) or any other equivalent examination of the first appearance.
4. Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C.(Academic) or equivalent courses.
5. Nativity certificate (wherever necessary)
6. Permanent Community Certificate Card/ Certificate issued online.
7. Annual Income Certificate if it is applicable.
8. First Graduate Certificate if it is applicable.
9. Bonafide Certificate as per Annexure XI for 7.5% reservation(if applicable).
10. Bonafide Certificate for proof of studying VI – XII in Tamil Nadu.
