State Unani Medical College (SUMC) is a government medical college in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. In the institution all students selected through NEET (UG) get admission into BUMS course, and intake capacity of the students is 60 students per year.

State Unani Medical College, Himmatganj, Allahabad, was founded by Allama Hakim Ahmad Hussain from his home in the early -1904, on his private land and as an individual institution. On July 2, 1982, along with other Ayurvedic and Unani Medical Colleges of the state- the college was provincialised and it became a government college and is being run by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Government Unani Medical College, Himmatganj Allahabad, under the terms of and vide Section 37 proviso (2) of the Uttar Pradesh State University (Amendment) Act; this college has been permanently affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur since the year 2013 through a letter dated 3.8.2013 with letter no. CSJMU/Affiliate./ 2868/2013

College has herbal garden (area about 13120 Sq. meter) with more than 250 species of medicinal plants.

College has its own 60 bed state runs hospital, named HAHRDM [Hakim Ahmad Husain Republic Day Memorial] Hospital, for needy ailing society and training of college students. Treatment given in this hospital is mainly through Unani system of medicine. Fallowing facilities are available here.

Admission Process

Course Duration:

5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year)

Seat Distribution:

-15% AIQ (All India Quota)

AACCC will be doing Counselling for minimum 15% AIQ seats for Government, Government aided, Central Universities, National Institutes, Private colleges and 100% seats for Deemed Universities.

- 85% Government Quota

85% seat filled through government counselling conducted by Uttar Pradesh Ayush Neet.

Eligibility:

NEET eligibility marks 2021	10+2 percentage required for NEET 2021 exam is separate for every category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects UR – 50%, OBC/SC/ST – 40%, PWD – 45%
NEET 2021 Qualifying Exam	Applicants must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with PCB, Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board. 10+2 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.
Age Limit for NEET 2021	They have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of their admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Course.
Nationality	Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses in a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG).
