District Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Ratlam, is a Private College established in the year 1981. The College is affiliated to Vikram University , Ujjain, located in Madhya Pradesh with an annual intake of 136 seats.

The College library has a rich collection of Homoeopathy books and allied medical subjects. The library has well-stocked journals, magazines, newspapers and periodicals. Facilities that are provided by the college are lecture theatres, seminar hall, sports, conference hall, canteen, well-established classrooms and medical.

District Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital impart education through a 5 ½ year degree course in Homoeopathy that is Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). The duration of BHMS programme will be about 4 ½ years + one year compulsory internship. The total number of seats for BHMS is 136.

About Hospital:

The college has its own Homoeopathic Hospital located in the same premises.

The Hospital has well equipped IPD and OPD including OT section, Intensive care unit, Labour room, Pathology Lab and Radiology section. OPD section includes Medicine, Obstetrics / Gynecology and Pediatrics OPD as per norms and IPD section has Medicine (including Pediatrics); Surgery, Obstetrics / Gynaecology wards. Both acute and chronic patients are examined in the OPD and IPD. The students are exposed to variety of cases of all systems like Respiratory System (Bronchial Asthma, COPD, allergic rhinitis etc), Musculoskeletal System (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc) Dermatological cases (Psorasis, dermatitis, etc) Paediatrics cases (Tonsillitis, recurrent URTI, etc) Gastrointestinal system (IBS, APD, Gastritis, etc) & Geriatric cases (Depression, dementia, BEP, Hypertension, DM, OA, Gout etc).

The College has its own fully equipped Hospital as per the norms of Central Council of Homoeopathy for providing clinical training and research facilities of the highest quality.

Eligibility:

1. Candidates should be Indian Citizen and they have state domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
2. They must be qualified in 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subjects.
3. The age of the candidates should be minimum of 17 years and a maximum of 25 years & there are 5 years of age relaxation for reserved candidates.
