The Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Kadapa, is a Government College established in the Year 2000, Affiliated to Dr. NTRUHS University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, located in Andhra Pradesh with the annual intake of 30 seats.

This college is offering 5 ½ years Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) course. This course can be done after 10+2 with Bi. P.C Group, 50% marks in aggregate to get admission into this through National Common Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) with ref to the Rank they got. After Counseling through DR. NTR University of Health Sciences, the candidates will be allotted to this College and they will be admitted in this course, after verification and handing over of all Original Certificates with nominal fees at one time for the entire course. There will be one year internee ship in the attached Teaching Hospital, after completion of 4 ½ years of course. During this period of one year, they get stipend of Rs 8000/- p.m. and it will be enhanced once in two years as per policy of the Govt., from time to time. 

In addition to this, the Govt. after bifurcation of States, (2) Post Graduate Courses started in Organon & Philosophy and Homoeopathic Pharmacy in this college. Accordingly, the College is officering (3) years P.G Courses in Homoeopathy Pharmacy and Homoeopathy Organon & Philosophy. This course can be done after BHMS, 50% marks in aggregate to get admission into this through Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Entrance Test (APGET)examination with ref to the Rank they got. After counseling through DR. NTR University of Health Sciences, the candidates will be allotted to this College and they will be admitted in this course, after verification and handing over of all Original Certificates with nominal fees at one time for the entire course. The first batch with six candidates admitted into the courses with (3) intake of each course during academic year 2016-17 and (90%) pass result after completion of one year which count 1 ½ year and 2nd year also stated.  During these period of (3) years, they will get stipend as follows and it will be enhanced once in two years as per policy of the Govt., from time to time.

Reservation Policies for Government Seats: 

Special Category Reservations under the categories of CAP, NCC, PWD is as follows:

• CAP (Army) - 1%
• National Cadet Corps (NCC) - 1%
• Persons with Disabilities (PWD) - 5%

Reservation For Women Candidates: 33 1/3% of seats are reserved for women candidates which are horizontal reservations.

Course Duration:

 5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year). Students will have 4 professional exams within a duration of 4.5 years and a compulsory rotating internship for 1 year. medical colleges in Karnataka states are regulated as per the rules and regulations of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science which is also known as RGUHS, Bangalore. 

Eligibility:-

• A candidate must have passed the PUC or its equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate in the Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Biology).
• The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission.
• In order to be eligible for admission to the undergraduate course for an academic year,  it shall be necessary for the candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by an authority designated by the  Central government,  for the undergraduate course held for the said academic year.
• For candidates belonging to the  SC/ST/OBC  the minimum, marks shall be at the 40th percentile. For candidates with  benchmarks  disabilities  as  specified  under  the  rights  of  the persons with Disabilities act, 2016 (49 of 2016),  the minimum marks  shall  be at the 45th percentile for the General category and 40th percentile for the  SC/ST/OBC
• For  Foreign national candidates any other equivalent qualification to be approved by the Central Government may allow, and entrance examination for admission to undergraduate courses namely NEET shall not be applicable for the Foreign national candidates.
• Only those students who have qualified NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST [NEET UG 2021] conducted by NTA are eligible for admission either through Merit, Management, or NRI quota.
